Boeing has finalized a $4.75 billion deal to take a controlling interest in the aircraft manufacturing arm of Embraer to make up for pushing Bombardier into the arms of Airbus. Executives also announced that the new company would be rebranded as BROEING .

Doesn’t Airbus only own a majority stake in the Bombardier partnership when it comes to their C-Series aircraft? Wouldn’t that mean the Dash-8, CRJ, and Global series still be under the sole ownership of Bombardier?
There’s a couple of overseas manufacturers too (such as Irkut, Sukhoim Comac, and Xian ) , but they have very little representation in North America as of now. I could potentially see Comacs making their way over here eventually though.

Kind of weird since Boeing once owned DeHavilland Canada years ago. Perhaps they regret selling them off to Bombardier...

There’s certainly some competition in the smaller, regional airliner market, but Boeing and Airbus are basically the only full range commercial aircraft builders left. United Aircraft Corporation theoretically comes close, but their production numbers are pretty low.
